Kris Collins has been practicing yoga for more than 20 years. She completed her RYT-200 hour training in 2020 and has been teaching consistently since then. Kris credits yoga with helping her stay grounded and centered during challenging times. Her practice “off the mat” is what brings her to the mat daily. Kris teaches Vinyasa Flow, Slow Flow, Yin, and Yoga Nidra. Kris helps her students find balance, flexibility, and strength with her thoughtfully planned classes that are playful and fun!
When not practicing or teaching yoga, Kris is a behavior specialist who works with students with disabilities; she uses her knowledge of yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and breathing to help her students stay calm and in control during times of stress. Kris enjoys spending time with her amazing husband, two beautiful sons and dogs, outdoor activities, reading, traveling, and learning new things. And of course leading yoga retreats!!!
Kelly started practicing yoga to add a flexibility component to her workout routine, but quickly recognized the immense holistic mental and physical benefits of a regular practice. She completed her first training in Virginia, started teaching in 2011, and has now been teaching in New England after moving to Massachusetts in 2014 to pursue her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Kelly teaches various styles of yoga and utilizes many components of the yogic limbs in her teaching and her PT practice.
Finding a balance between strength and mobility is a key element in Kelly’s teaching, while her classes remain anchored in the mental and spiritual lessons of yogic philosophy. Kelly loves sharing her passion for human movement and helping others achieve their optimum levels of physical and mental health both on and off the mat. When she's not teaching, she loves being outside, eating delicious food, working in the garden at her small homestead, and spending time with her husband and 3 cats.
